Effective April 1, 2008, responsibility for property assessment in Nova Scotia transferred from Assessment Services to the Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC). The PVSC is a municipally-owned, not-for-profit corporation that determines the market value of properties as legislated by the Assessment Act.
