PVSC Update
PROPERTY ASSESSMENT IS NOW DONE BY THE PROPERTY VALUATION SERVICES CORPORATION. Effective April 1, 2008, responsibility for property assessment in Nova Scotia transferred from Assessment Services to the Property Valuation Services Corporation (PVSC). The PVSC is a municipally-owned, not-for-profit corporation that determines the market value of properties as legislated by the Assessment Act.
